ABOUT THE CLUB
The Jersey Kart & Motor Club was established in 1960.
The Club first raced at the kart track at Bellevue, St Brelade, before the track was redeveloped for housing.
The Club now races at the Loop, Sorel, Route du Nord, St John, on a public road with the road being closed for racing from 9-30am until 5-30pm on racedays.
The track runs anti-clockwise and speeds up to 85mph can be achieved by the 125 Open (gearbox) class.
The minimum age for racing is 8 years of age in the cadets class, with competitors in this class reaching speeds of up to 45mph.
Competitors wishing to compete must hold a valid MSA kart licence. For those who wish to take up karting the Club can arrange tuition and an MSA ARKS test, leading to a competition licence.
For those who wish merely to watch and enjoy the racing, spectators are welcome and entrance is free, so please do come up and watch us on race days.
Motorsport is dangerous attendance and participation is at your own risk.
